Support a child along-with your child
Vision:

Provide free education to poor children

Mission:

  • Motivate affluent parents to support one child along with their child
  • Manage the program on Raabta to provide complete information to all participants
  • Average Fee of sponsored Child Rs 450/- per month (Max. Rs 750 p.m).

Participants in the Program:

A. Ilm-o-Amal Volunteer

  • Is the liaison between parents and Ilm-o-Amal
  • Explains the program to the parents
  • Collects monthly fees and deposits with Ilm-o-Amal (Ilm-o-Amal pays the fee to charity school)
  • Issues receipts and manages the process in Raabta

B. Parent of a child who wishes to support a poor child

  • Pays monthly fee of the child to Ilm-o-Amal through Ilm-o-Amal Volunteer
  • Gets monthly report and online access to Raabta (see footnote)

C. Charity School

  • The sponsored child studies in one of the partner charity schools of Ilm-o-Amal
  • Charity school provides full information about the child’s progress to Ilm-o-Amal
  • This information is available in Raabta (see footnote)

How it will work:

  • Ilm-o-Amal volunteer explains the program to the parent
  • Parents who wish to participate in the program register online in Raabta (2-5 minutes process on Raabta)
  • a. Name, email and contact mobile number is required
  • b. Or they can send this information to info@ilmoamal.org with subject Support a Child
  • One child sponsorship is assigned to the parent (2-5 minutes process on Raabta)
  • a. Or they can select as many sponsorships from the list
  • Monthly collect the fee from the parent and remit to Ilm-o-Amal Account

Scholarship Targets for the period July 2010-June 2011:

  • Karachi 350 students
  • Lahore 150 students
