Ilm-o-Amal - What We Do


Ilm-o-Amal Association creates and manages two types of programs:


Beneficiary Programs promote community spirit by providing assistance to people who are living in social and economic difficulties, and struggling to become productive members of the society. Following are the programs launched by the Association:
Knowledge Programs endeavor to create awareness on social issues and help the participants in acquiring relevant knowledge and skills, and the perspective of Islam on social justice and ethics. These include:

bullet workshops and seminars on sharing knowledge and experiences
bullet training participants in relevant skills
bullet publishing brochures and magazines, and Internet Web site

Following are the campaigns launched by the Association:

Who Is Ilm-o-Amal?
Ilm-o-Amal is a non-political and non-sectarian organization, which endeavors to promote social welfare, community spirit and knowledge in our society. It is founded by a group of citizens in Karachi, Pakistan. It is registered under Societies Act XXI of 1860 as a welfare organization.

Ilm-o-Amal is entirely funded by its members or socially aware individuals. Its financial records are audited and are presented to its members.
