The scale of voluntary work crosses cultural boundaries and political systems, making it one of the most powerful elements in social development. Today, there are numerous organizations in Pakistan which are fueled by voluntary work. The common factor shared by all types of volunteers in these organizations is a commitment by the individual to the common good, in that they work not merely for their own interests but for the benefit of others. Ilm-o-Amal team believes in this voluntary spirit. It comprises of individuals with professional competence and integrity from different walks of life.

Who Is Ilm-o-Amal?
Ilm-o-Amal is a non-political and non-sectarian organization, which endeavors to promote social welfare, community spirit and knowledge in our society. It is founded by a group of citizens in Karachi, Pakistan. It is registered under Societies Act XXI of 1860 as a welfare organization.

Ilm-o-Amal is entirely funded by its members or socially aware individuals. Its financial records are audited and are presented to its members.
