Q: Is Ilm-o-Amal a trustworthy organization?
A: At Ilm-o-Amal we endevour to pass the maximum benefit to the beneficiaries through our welfare programs which support education of children, families, income generation opportunities, sick and disaster affected people. We have adopted a business model which relies on volunteer and the web to eliminate unnecessary costs. As a result our overheads for general, management and marketing is less than 10% of our collections. We continually strive to keep our overhead rate low. As a responsible organization and team we optimize resources and distribute them where they are needed most. We carefully monitor and review programs and costs, use donations and grants for their intended purposes, and look for ways to leverage funds for maximum impact.

Who Is Ilm-o-Amal?
Ilm-o-Amal is a non-political and non-sectarian organization, which endeavors to promote social welfare, community spirit and knowledge in our society. It is founded by a group of citizens in Karachi, Pakistan. It is registered under Societies Act XXI of 1860 as a welfare organization.
Ilm-o-Amal is entirely funded by its members or socially aware individuals. Its financial records are audited and are presented to its members.
